It seems like my fourth baby only just arrived, but guess what? It’s already time to add solid foods into the mix, which means I’ve officially been on the hunt for a new high chair.
Thanks to the four-year gap between my last babies, we didn’t hold onto our old baby gear, so when Century reached out about reviewing their Dine On™ 4-in-1 High Chair, I was thrilled to give it a try.

The Dine On 4-in-1 High Chair: Family-Friendly, Right out of the Box
My husband and my preschooler tackled unboxing and setting up our Dine On 4-in-1 High Chair they’re happy to report that it was “super easy” to put it all together. Here’s what we loved about the high chair at first glance:
No tools required
One major bonus of this high chair is that assembly is a breeze–everything clicked into place, so there were no tools required for set-up
Small footprint
The first feature to stand out for me is the small footprint of this chair. We’ve always lived in smaller homes and often feel like our baby gear is underfoot. The Dine On 4-in-1 high chair, however, is only 23” across in the widest part of the chair, so we can easily push it into a corner when it isn’t in use. It’s by far one of my favorite features.
4-in-1 seating
This is a 4-in-1 high chair, which means it will convert from a traditional high chair to a booster seat with a tray to a child stool that will pull up to the table to a big kid chair that can be used away from dining. We are using the 4-in-1 as a high chair right now and we’re relying on the 5-point-straps to keep the baby secure. I’m also grateful for the tray that is easily removed with one hand, which is essential for parents who are juggling a lot.
Budget-Friendly and Multi-Functional Features
The Dine On™ 4-in-1 High Chair is designed with versatility in mind. As we mentioned earlier, there are 4 ways this seat can be used:
- Traditional high chair. The back of the chair reclines in three different positions, so it can be used for bottle feeding as well, which is an interesting feature. The 5-point harness is adjustable, so you can securely buckle your baby when they’re still in that wobbly phase and loosen it up as they grow. The base of the high chair also has wheels, so it is easy to scoot throughout the house.
- Trayed booster seat. The second phase of this chair is great for older children or for families who need a safe way to feed their baby that is also more travel-friendly. The top of the high chair lifts off the base and you can secure it to a dining chair with the built-in safety straps that are located in the base of the high chair top.
- Stool. The third option for this seat is a stool to scoot up to the table, with a waist harness for a toddler who no longer needs a backed high chair.
- “Big kid” chair. Lastly, it can be used as a big kid chair without buckles or a tray–in this mode, the chair is pretty short, so it’s not really meant to be a dining chair, but more of a freestanding chair for a big kid to read or hang out in.
There are also some really cool features of this chair that I loved. First off, it comes with a removable tray insert that doubles as a plate–and it’s dishwasher-safe! So convenient when I just want to get food to my baby quickly. The entire tray can be locked in place using both hands, one on each side, or it can be removed with one hand by squeezing a handle on the front.
Secondly, the fabric cover on the chair is machine washable, which is a feature that’s actually surprisingly hard to find in a high chair.

Why We Love It
For my family, the biggest benefit of this seat is how versatile it is. We will get years of use from this seat since it can be adjusted for use as a high chair, booster seat, stool, and big kid chair. The tray can also be locked into three different positions to allow more room for a growing babe. The seat cover is removable and machine-washable, so it isn’t a challenge to clean up the inevitable messes we’ll face at each meal.
We found that many name brand high chairs are over a hundred dollars, but the price point of this high chair by Century is very budget friendly. And parents who are passionate about sustainability will be glad to learn that this high chair is a part of Century’s Happy Planet Collection. All of the fabric on this highchair is made from recycled water bottles.
What to Consider Before Buying
One downside of this high chair is that it doesn’t fold up, so it isn’t the easiest thing to store between uses. However, it is a fairly small high chair so we’ve just pushed it back into the corner.
One more quirk is that the tray is two pieces, the main tray and a darker, pop-out tray cover that is meant to make clean-up easy. However, this pop-out tray only covers the center well of the main tray, so it doesn’t really save time on cleanup. Both pieces will need to be cleaned after every meal unless you’ve got a really neat foodie who will keep all their food in the center well.
It is also worth mentioning that this chair shouldn’t be used before your baby is 6 months old and families should discontinue use once their little one reaches 36 pounds.
Truly Mama Verdict
The bottom line is that this mid-priced high chair is certainly simple, but it has the features we see as essential—an easy-to-remove tray, adjustable straps, and a machine washable cover, so I really couldn’t ask for anything more in a high chair.
