We’re not the only ones taking social distancing seriously. The Muppets on Sesame Street are doing the same!
On Tuesday night, Sesame Street aired “Elmo’s Playdate,” which featured all of your children’s favorite Muppets on a virtual video playdate. The video call included a night of songs, games, and more with Anne Hathaway, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Elmo’s father also had a special message for fellow parents during this difficult time.
“It is wonderful to get to spend so much time with our children, but, it can also be a bit overwhelming,” he said. “But I just wanted to say, parents, you are doing an amazing job.”
He continued on, stating the importance of taking some time for yourself. “You know, take care of you. You hang in there, and keep up the great work!”
It’s great to see such amazing messaging coming from the program, as they focus on not only the mental health of our children during this difficult time, but parents as well.
