A young girl from Michigan wanted to ensure that the Tooth Fairy was respecting the proper coronavirus safety measures.
After losing a tooth, seven-year-old Evolette Westhouse did not want to leave her tooth for the Tooth Fairy unless she knew the Fairy would be protected with a mask of her own, Good Morning America reports.
“We’ve been having to talk about how germs spread, and even though we are family, we are different people going into different places, and if you touch someone and then touch someone else, then those can transfer,” Evolette’s mother, Kayla Westhouse, explained.
“Imagine touching teeth, especially other people’s teeth,” Evolette said when talking about the Tooth Fairy.
Evolette has been helping her mother make homemade masks for their community during the pandemic, which stemmed her idea of making one for the Tooth Fairy.
“She refused to put the tooth underneath her pillow,” her mother said. “Finally, she said, ‘Listen, Mom, I’ll go to bed early if you stay up and sew a mask for me.'”
Once receiving the mask, the Tooth Fairy thanked the considerate seven-year-old, by leaving a note. Kayla shared a photo on Facebook of the precious moment, where it began to go viral.
“Thank you so much for the mask,” the note read. “You are such a considerate young lady. I am so happy to be able to help not spread germs as I go from place to place. Say ‘Thank You’ to your mom for sewing my mask. She seems like the best mom ever. Be sure to tell her that as often as you can.”
